Good budget hotel in a fairly quiet area not far from a good area as well as the local buses. Especially helpful staff, beautifully decorated rooms with nice shower, the bathroom, a very comfortable bed.

The staff were fantastic friendly and efficient, overall. My room was well priced and air-conditioned with a very comfortable bed, had smoke detectors for safety measures.

Silent and budget room, shower facilities and bath sheets in the room. A good choice of food for the English breakfast. Best possible location in the fairly quiet area, just next door to the pub, Cambridge and ride.

Economical and friendly, very convenient for a visit to Cambridge
Some of the facilities need upgrading and a few minor repairs needed here and there

Good location for Cambridge, clean rooms and the food was good and a reasonable price
Having to pay for the room on arrival and food and drink as it was consumed rather than one bill for room and meals etc on departure

traditional pub, convenient location, spacious rooms
The gardens need some serious attention!!! The rooms are in dire need of modern furniture and a fresh coat of paint. Not to mention the outdated and uncomfortable seating in the pub area!!!

I found the room clean and cute, though the en-suite could use updating. The shower was quite small, and water pressure left something to be desired. The staff were attentive and helpful. I appreciated the free parking and easy access to buses for my trips into Cambridge, a real plus. Breakfast was cooked to perfection, but there were a few items missing. Dinner was nice, though I noticed my meal had been sitting out a bit longer than ideal, which affected the freshness. I felt comfortable, but a bit of restoration could enhance the pub's character greatly.

Myself, my son & his fiance needed to stay overnight in Cambridge due to my husband being in hospital. The Lord Byron offered a clean, comfortable room & breakfast at a competitive price. For us it was located perfectly for the hospital & my son & fiance easily got into Cambridge town centre. The staff we came into contact with were helpful & friendly. On this ocassion we didn't have our evening meal there but the food seen looked good.
Nothing I didn't really like but perhaps due to layout of rooms an extra lock or chain on the door maybe advisable for feeling extra secure.
